You’ll learn the fundamentals of handling both long guns (rifles and shotguns) and handguns (semi-autos and revolvers). From safety and grip to stance and trigger control, we’ll guide you through everything you need to know to handle firearms with confidence. The day includes both classroom instruction and hands-on range time, ensuring a well-rounded learning experience.

Gun Safety & Use Fundamentals Course Schedule

8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Classroom Session

Start your day in the classroom, covering firearm safety, handling basics, and dry practice. You’ll learn about firearm parts, proper manipulation, grip, stance, and more.

12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Lunch Break

Take a break and refuel. You can:

  • Visit a nearby bar offering burgers, chicken sandwiches, and wings.
  • Bring your own meal and use our fully equipped kitchen.

1:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Range Session

In the afternoon, head to the range for live-fire practice. You’ll have the chance to shoot various firearms and calibers. Participation in all shooting exercises is optional—you decide what’s best for you.

What to Bring to Gun Safety & Use Training

You don’t need to bring anything for this course. However, if you’d like to train with your own firearm, you’re welcome to bring it along with ammunition (available for purchase at our store if needed). If you have your own eye and ear protection, feel free to use it, though we’ll provide these items if needed.
