Why Add a Silencer to Your Gear?
Protect Your Hearing
Shooting is fun, but ringing ears aren’t. Suppressors reduce noise levels, making your time behind the trigger safer and more comfortable.
Stay on Target
Lower recoil means better control and more accurate follow-up shots, giving you the edge when precision matters most.

We carry a variety of silencers designed to meet your needs, whether you're running a rimfire plinker or a high-caliber powerhouse. From hard use cans to light weight hunting accessories, our selection features top brands you can trust to deliver quiet, reliable performance shot after shot.
Buying a silencer isn’t rocket science, but it can feel like it. Unicore or baffle stack? Dedicated suppressor or multi-gun compatible? What caliber are you running, and how many guns do you want it to play nice with? Oh, and let’s not forget the age-old debate: gun trust or no trust?
Don’t sweat the details—we’re here to cut through the noise (pun absolutely intended) and get you sorted with a silencer that fits your needs perfectly. We’ve got a step-by-step guide waiting for you in our Knowledge Center, but if you’d rather skip the reading, swing by, and we’ll walk you through the process. Whatever you need, we’re here to make your silencer purchase smooth and stress-free.

Already rocking a gun trust?
— Nice. Let’s help you add another NFA toy to the collection—because one is never enough.
The Paperwork Made Easy
Yes, silencers require some paperwork—but don’t worry, we make the process painless. From helping you navigate ATF eForms to answering all your questions about tax stamps, we’re here to guide you every step of the way.
There are three things you need to complete in order to purchase a silencer.

Tax Stamp
You must pay your $200 tax stamp. Every NFA (National Firearms Act) item requires a $200 tax stamp. Silencers are considered NFA items as are SBR (short barreled rifles). A $200 tax stamp is required for each item.
Complete a Form 4
Requires fingerprint card, passport photo and if you are doing a trust, your trust information.
4473 Form
This is the standard NCIS background check that you complete every time you purchase a firearm.
You can complete your entire purchase at River Valley Arms & Ammo, from fingerprint cards and passport photos to trust paperwork. We’ll handle the entire process, start to finish, right here in our store.
