Kick Off the New Year with Dry Fire January
Tired of Dry January? Try something that actually makes you better.
Dry Fire January is a 4-week firearms training challenge from River Valley Arms & Ammo designed to help shooters build consistency, sharpen fundamentals, and get back into a training routine — all without firing a single round.
Through daily dry fire drills and accountability check-ins, you’ll rebuild the skills that matter most: draw speed, reload efficiency, and movement under control.
No ammo. No excuses. Just better shooting.
What Is Dry Fire January?
Dry Fire January is a month-long training program focused on dry fire practice — the process of safely practicing firearm handling, draw, and trigger control with an unloaded gun.
It’s the perfect way to stay sharp through the winter, rebuild good habits, and start your shooting season strong — whether you’re a competitive shooter, a concealed carry holder, or a firearm enthusiast looking to improve your skills.

Week 2 – Vision & Movement
Train your eyes and body to move together. Work multiple targets and positions to improve transitions and visual processing speed.
Week 3 – Gun Handling: Reload Focus
Refine your reloads. Run both tactical and emergency reload drills to make mag changes second nature.
Week 4 – Movement
Put it all together. Practice engaging while moving, using cover, and managing reloads on the move.
End the month with a full dry fire evaluation to test your progress.
Each week builds on the last, layering skills to develop confidence, control, and speed.
