Heather’s Product Review: The Flashbang Holster

I have to be honest, when I first ordered the Flashbang holster, I was not sold.  I mean, really, how realistic is it to have a holster attached to your bra anyway?  What are you going to do, flash the perpetrator before you draw to protect yourself?  These were the thoughts running through my head as I clicked the “order” button for my first Flashbang.

Before I ordered, I tried to do some research on it.  Of course, I checked out the Flashbang website but, as most all places, there were only positive reviews for the Flashbang and I thought, “someone must not like this.”  So I took to YouTube and found a few videos.  My favorite one is this one:

Pretty convincing, right?

First of all, I carry a Ruger LCP .380 as my personal protection firearm.  I like it because it’s small, low profile, and very concealable.  I started carrying with an ankle holster until I found the Flashbang.

Ladies, as you know, you can’t really wear an ankle holster in the summer… it just doesn’t work.  The Flashbang turned out to be, not only an alternative to the ankle holster, but my preferred method.

The Flashbang attaches to the center of your bra.  It’s concealable under even snug clothing.  And, as you saw in the video, has a much more respectable draw time than an ankle holster does.

Try one out for yourself at River Valley Arms & Ammo.  We’re just outside of Redwood Falls, MN.

The company that makes Flashbang also has a full line of other concealable holsters including the Marilyn.  The Marilyn is also a bra holster but attaches to the side of your bra instead of the center.
