Women Only Self Defense Seminar (Level 2 – Ground Fighting)

On  February 4th, River Valley Arms will be hosting a Women’s self-defense seminar at our shop in Morton. This is a level two course based off of the Women Only Self Defense Seminar (Level 1) that was held on January 30th, 2020 and will be offered again on February 11th, 2020. This course will build off of the techniques learned in Level 1.

What You’ll Practice

This course is designed to teach you effective ways to escape from fights where you have been taken to the ground and ways to prevent being taken to the ground. Escapes from mount, guard and side control positions will be taught. Foot sweeps, take downs and the effective use of striking motor and pressure points will also be covered as well as defense against them. Since many students are permit to carry holders, we will also cover gun retention from ground positions. (Please no live firearms in the class.)
 
This is a hands on class, with physical participation. Class length will be 2 1/2 hours. Please wear loose fitting, comfortable clothing. 

Class size will be limited so that one on one instruction can be given. Please ensure your spot by purchasing a ticket here on our website. Cost for the seminar is $30.00

About the Instructor

Mark Brendemuehl, RVAA InstructorMark Brendemuehl is a law enforcement certified instructor in use of force, defensive tactics, ground fighting, TASER, Aerosol chemical agents, baton, and restraints. He holds a rank of Shodan (1st degree black belt) in three martial arts and has been teaching for law enforcement since 1997.
