Women Only Self Defense Seminar (Level 1)
March 11 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm$30.00
On March 11th, River Valley Arms will be hosting a Women’s self-defense seminar at our shop in Morton. This is an encore performance of the Women Only Self Defense Seminar that was held on January 30th, 2020. Please note that if you’re taking the course again, you will still learn something new! We’ll practice the same techniques we covered on our January 30th class but will also expand for those who are taking the course again.
What You’ll Practice
This will be a hands on seminar, where defense against wrist grabs, bear hugs, choke holds, head locks, defense from the ground will be demonstrated and taught from an entry level point of view. After techniques are taught, adjustments and alternatives will be taught individually, because we all learn and perform at different levels.
Threat pattern recognition (recognizing signs of imminent attack) , use of defensive weapons (handguns, “Mace” etc) will all be discussed and there will be time throughout for questions and answers. Class starts at 6 PM and will run approximately 2 ½ hours. This is NOT a martial arts class. Techniques are simple, straightforward, easily remembered and able to be performed under duress.
Class size will be limited so that one on one instruction can be given. Please ensure your spot by purchasing a ticket here on our website. Cost for the seminar is $30.00
