Try Out Firearms at the 2020 RVAA Demo Shoot on September 13th

It’s been a weird year so I think I can speak for all of us when I say that we could probably stand for a little fun! We’ve been on the fence about whether or not we can swing doing our annual Demo Shoot this year but, damnit, we’re going to do it. It might not be perfect. We’ll probably run out of stuff. But we’re going to try.

So, having said that, we’ll do what we can to have ammo available for you to have fun with but it will be first come first serve. Here are a few more things you might want to know if you can join us for a day of fun at the Redwood Falls Sportsmen’s Club on September 13th, 2020.

Date, Time & All That Jazz

We can think of no better way to celebrate our anniversary than to spend time with our friends and customers shooting some sh*t.

Date: Sunday, September 13th, 2020
Time: 11a – 4p
Location: Redwood Falls Sportsmen’s Club in Redwood Falls, Minnesota

We’ll have a variety of handguns and long guns available to shoot. There’s no charge to rent the firearm, you just pay for the ammo you shoot. Please do not bring your own ammo. We want to ensure that everything is safe to use and this is one way that we work towards that. Kids are welcome but must have an adult present at all times.

Safety

Obivously firearm safety is of the upmost importance! We will have Range Safety Officers present at each range but everyone is responsible for handling the firearms safely!

Firearm Safety Rules

  1. Treat every firearm like it’s always loaded.
  2. Never point the muzzle at anything you’re not willing to destroy.
  3. Keep your finger off the trigger until you are on target and ready to shoot.
  4. Know your intended target and what’s beyond.

How It Works

There will be three stations: firearms, ammunition, and range

Step 1: At the Firearms Station…
We’ll have firearms on display for you to choose from. You’ll leave your driver’s license when you choose the firearm you want to shoot and then head over to the ammo. No charge to use the firearms!

Step 2: At the Ammunition Station…
You’ll purchase however many rounds of ammo you’d like to shoot. Cash only please. We’ll post the price list as soon as we get it together!

Step 3: At the Range Station…
You’ll wait until the Range Safety Officer has an open lane and then you can fire away! Please be respectful of other shooters and spectators by making sure you follow the safety rules:
1 – Treat Every Firearm As If It Were Loaded
2 – Never Point The Muzzle At Anything You’re Not Willing To Destroy
3 – Keep Your Finger Off The Trigger Until You’re On Target And Ready To Shoot
4 – Know Your Intended Target And The Backstop

Step 4: Return Your Firearm…
When you’re finished shooting, you’ll return the firearm at the firearms station and get your driver’s license back!

Step 5: Repeat!

Everything is Better with Tacos

This year I’m super stoked to have Taqueria Don Chuy, a taco truck from around the area, join us at the event! I mean, seriously…. what’s better than Tacos and Guns? I even have a shirt for the occasion…
